ONYEMAECHI E.M. ELUJEKOR Hon. Onyemaechi Eric Monday Elujekor obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Calabar in 1984 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985. He obtained his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in 1991 from the University of Calabar. He began his career as an Assistant Lecturer in the Faculty of Law, University of Cross River State (Now University of Uyo) Akwa Ibom State. He joined the services of University of Calabar in 1988 as an Assistant Lecturer and LL.M Student and rose to the rank of Lecturer II before joining the services of the Nigerian Law School in 1993. Hon. Elujekor’s career with the Nigerian Law School spanned various campuses. He was at Nigerian Law School Lagos from 1993 – 1997, Senior Lecturer at the Nigerian Law School Headquarters, Abuja from 1998 – 2001 and Deputy Director (Academics) & HOD, Company Law at the Nigerian Law School, Augustine Nnamani Campus Enugu from 2001 – 2003. Hon. Elujekor joined the services of the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2003 as the Divisional Head for Rule Making and Board Secretariat. He became the Zonal Head of the SEC Onitsha Zonal Office in 2008. In 2011, Hon. Elujekor was promoted Director, Enforcement Department where he retired having attained the mandatory age at retirement. In the course of his career, Hon. Elujekor has taught Company law and Practice, Business law, Family law, Law of Tort, Land law, etc. and published in various academic journals. Hon. Elujekor has attended training courses, workshops and conferences in USA, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Thailand, United Kingdom, Italy, Sierra Leone, South Africa etc. and is widely travelled. Hon. Elujekor was appointed a Member of the Investments & Securities Tribunal in August 2017.
